# Email error, forgot password not working

Expected response code 220 but got an empty response

how can I solve this error in PHP and Vue

The issue is with your email configuration, you are required by Gmail to create app passwords to connect your Gmail with other accounts. This was also pointed out here [SMTP Auth extension not supported by server - #4 by willvin](https://forum.radsystems.io/t/smtp-auth-extension-not-supported-by-server/969/4).
